Campground Policies

Reservation terms, cancellation policy, guest responsibilities, and campground rules.

These policies help keep Beachcomber safe, quiet, and clear for all guests. Please review them before booking, and contact the office if you are unsure whether a policy applies to your stay.

Reservations

Reservation Deposits and Payments

  • Reservations are recommended, especially during peak season.
  • By making a reservation, you agree to the Terms & Conditions, all posted campground guidelines, and any instructions from our team.
  • Beachcomber RV Park is a Seasonal Recreational Vehicle (RV) park for Temporary Vacation and Recreation accommodation, for RVs with black and grey holding tanks.
  • A one-night deposit is required to confirm all bookings. This deposit is applied toward your stay.
  • Deposits apply to site fees only. Any additional services or fees are charged as listed.
  • The remaining balance is due upon arrival, prior to site setup.
  • For bookings longer than 1 month, a two-night deposit is required to confirm your booking. The first month balance is paid upon arrival, with the remaining balance charged monthly at the start of your month.

Changes & Cancellations

Cancellation Policy

  • We understand that plans can change, and we aim to keep our cancellation policy simple and fair.
  • A one-night deposit is required to confirm all bookings.
  • If you cancel more than 48 hours before your scheduled arrival, your deposit will be refunded, less a $15 administration fee.
  • If you cancel within 48 hours of arrival, your one-night deposit is non-refundable.
  • If you're able to give us more notice, we truly appreciate it. It helps us make the site available to other guests.
  • All cancellation or change requests must be submitted by email or through the booking system.

Refunds

Refund Policy

  • Our goal is to be fair and transparent in how refunds are handled.
  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before arrival are eligible for a refund of the deposit, less a $15 administration fee.
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of arrival are not eligible for a refund of the deposit.
  • No refunds are provided for early departures after arrival.
  • No refunds are provided for no-shows.
  • No refunds are provided for unused nights within a reservation.
  • Where applicable, refunds are issued to the original form of payment or may be held as an account credit upon request.

Arrival

Arrival, Late Arrivals, and No-Shows

  • Check-in is 1:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM.
  • Late check-out may be available at $25 per hour, subject to availability.
  • To ensure arriving guests have a smooth welcome, sites must be vacated on time. Additional charges may apply if we need to clear a site for the next guest.
  • Office hours are 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily.
  • If you expect to arrive after 9:00 PM, please coordinate with the office in advance so we can arrange your arrival.
  • If you do not arrive or contact us by 12:00 PM (noon) the day after your scheduled arrival, your reservation will be considered a no-show.
  • For no-shows, we will make a reasonable effort to contact you.
  • For shorter no-show stays, the full amount of your booking may be charged.
  • For longer no-show stays, charges will be capped at a maximum of 2 nights.
  • A no-show site may be released to another guest.

Site Use

Occupancy and Tents

  • Site rates include 4 people.
  • Additional guests are $5 per person, per night.
  • We understand that some families travel with multiple children. If you're staying with a larger family, we're happy to be flexible and generally do not charge additional fees for extra children.
  • If you're unsure, just let us know in advance and we'll take care of it.
  • Tents as a spare room for the RV are permitted: 1 tent per site, and it must fit behind the RV on the pad.
  • Tent charge is $10 per night.
  • Maximum occupancy is 10 people per site.

Guest Responsibilities

Your Stay

  • Beachcomber is intentionally simple. We offer a quiet, natural setting rather than a full-service resort, and we ask guests to respect that tone.
  • Guests are responsible for checking in before setting up.
  • Guests are responsible for providing a valid credit card.
  • Guests are responsible for keeping reservation details accurate, including guests and pets.
  • Guests are responsible for following all posted guidance and staff direction.

Pets

Pets

  • Well-behaved pets are welcome at $5 per pet, per day, with a maximum of two per site.
  • Pets must be on leash at all times.
  • Pets must be cleaned up after promptly.
  • Pets must remain calm and must not disturb other guests.
  • Aggressive dogs, or dogs that continue to disturb other guests after staff direction, may be asked to leave the park.

Cleanliness

Site Care and Cleanliness

  • We take pride in keeping Beachcomber clean and well cared for.
  • Guests are expected to leave their site tidy.
  • Guests are expected to dispose of garbage properly.
  • Guests are expected to use facilities respectfully.
  • Beachcomber RV Park is located in a sensitive coastal environment. Out of respect for our shoreline, wildlife, and future generations, discharging grey water onto the ground is not permitted.
  • Please use the sani-station for wastewater and arrange any available portable waste tote service with the office before use.
  • Sites left in poor condition may incur a $25 cleaning fee.
  • Repeated site care issues may result in being asked not to return.

Campground Courtesy

Quiet Hours and Generators

  • Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
  • No amplified music is permitted at any time.
  • If noise becomes disruptive and isn't resolved when requested, guests may be asked to leave.
  • Generators may be used only from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, 2:00 to 3:00 PM, and 6:00 to 7:00 PM.

Wastewater

Utilities, Sani-Station, and Wastewater

  • All sites include power and water.
  • Beachcomber RV Park is for RVs with black and grey holding tanks.
  • Beachcomber RV Park is located in a sensitive coastal environment. Out of respect for our shoreline, wildlife, and future generations, discharging grey water onto the ground is not permitted.
  • Please use the sani-station for wastewater. Thank you for helping us protect this special place.

Fire Safety

Campfires

  • Propane fire pits can be used at anytime.
  • Wood burning campfires are permitted in the designated fire pit until 11:00 p.m.
  • RV Park Management will prohibit wood burning campfires if ordered by BC Wildfire Service.
  • RV Park Management will prohibit wood burning campfires if conditions present a fire hazard, or an inconvenience to others.
  • You must keep at least 8 litres of water or a shovel on hand at all times while your campfire is lit.
  • Campfires must not be left unattended.
  • You must have a fuel break around your campfire.
  • Campfires must be completely extinguished and ashes must be cool to the touch before leaving the area.

Park Rules

General Rules

  • Speed limit of RV Park is 10 km/hr.
  • Due to the Sensitive Eco System, no climbing is permitted on the hillside, sand cliffs, or rock berm.
  • Minimize your impact on nature by not removing rocks, sand, and foliage.
  • To minimize light pollution, no flashing and blinking lights are permitted.
  • Outbuildings are not permitted.
  • Commercial activity is not permitted.
  • ATVs or similar off-road vehicles are not permitted.
  • Standalone tent camping, tent trailers, and tiny homes are not permitted. One spare-room tent behind an RV is allowed only as described in the occupancy rules.

Guest Responsibility

Limits of Responsibility

  • Guests are responsible for any damage to campground property, facilities, or equipment.
  • Beachcomber RV Park is an outdoor environment.
  • Guests are responsible for their own safety.
  • Guests are responsible for the supervision of children and dependents.
  • Guests are responsible for the care of personal property at all times.
  • Beachcomber RV Park is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
  • Beachcomber RV Park is not responsible for vehicles, trailers, or recreational equipment.
  • If something isn't working during your stay, please let us know. We're here to help.
  • We reserve the right to end a stay if these terms are not respected.
